Nasal CPAP masks send pressurized air through your nose to keep your airways open. Although traditional CPAP masks cover your entire nose, the Solo has a nasal cradle design that seals between your nostrils and upper lip. 

You can put on and adjust the Solo Nasal Mask with one hand, making it a great choice for people with dexterity concerns. People who experience claustrophobia with other masks, even other low-profile masks, will also appreciate the Solo’s exceptionally minimalist design.

Nasal CPAP masks like the Solo can be uncomfortable when used at a high air pressure setting. People who breathe through their mouth while asleep should also avoid nasal masks, as air leakage through their mouth can make their PAP therapy ineffective. 

The Fisher & Paykel Solo Nasal Mask uses a replaceable silicone cushion that is available in four sizes. The manufacturer suggests replacing the cushion every one to three months, or once it shows signs of wear or damage. 

Fisher & Paykel provide a printable sizing guide for the Solo Nasal Mask that you can use to select the right size, but a fit pack is also available if you would like to try out the different options. This mask has four size options for the nasal cushion and one-size-fits-all headgear. 

The Solo Nasal Mask is compatible with the 22-millimeter hose connection that is used by almost all PAP machines on the market. The only PAP machines it cannot be used with are machines like the ResMed AirMini that use a proprietary hose connection cuff.
