What is the difference between a sleep program and sleep coaching?

Sleep coaching sets you up with one-on-one consultation and support from one of our experienced sleep coaches, but we also offer a range of evidence-based sleep programs you can work through yourself to learn tools and skills that will help you sleep better. Some of the sleep programs we offer include human sleep coaches, while others are entirely self-guided.

Is sleep coaching suitable for children?

Sleep coaching can help infants and children sleep better by providing parents and caregivers with the knowledge and developmentally-appropriate tools they need to support healthy sleep. Teenagers can also benefit from sleep coaching, since puberty’s dramatic changes can affect sleep needs and patterns.

Is sleep coaching evidence-based?

Since there is no standard for sleep coaching, there are sleep coaches and sleep programs that use strategies which are both evidence-based and experience-based. Our sleep coaches and sleep programs use both proven methods to help improve your sleep and provide you with up-to-date information on the science of sleep.

Should I talk to my doctor before getting sleep coaching?

While sleep coaching can be an extremely effective way to improve your sleep, your doctor is in the best position to diagnose any underlying conditions that may be affecting your sleep. If you have sleep apnea, for example, your doctor can ensure it is being properly treated while your sleep coach can help you adjust to treatment and learn skills to sleep better.
