You can keep your DreamWear Under-the-Nose CPAP Mask in good condition by following these instructions from the manufacturer: 

  1. Non-fabric components must be cleaned after every use, while the fabric components only need to be washed once a week.
  2. Before cleaning, it is important to take the entire mask apart by separating the frame from the elbow, cushion, tubing quick release, and headgear. 
  3. Warm, soapy water is the best way to wash your mask components. 
  4. After cleaning, you should rinse your components in clean running water and leave them to dry out of direct sunlight.

Who shouldn’t use the Philips Respironics DreamWear Under-the-Nose CPAP Mask?

The DreamWear magnetic headgear can interfere with some medical devices, making this mask unusable if you or your partner have one of the affected devices. Nasal masks like this one are uncomfortable for people with a high air pressure prescription, and are not effective for people who breathe through their mouth while asleep. 

Are the Philips Respironics DreamWear Under-the-Nose CPAP Mask’s cushions replaceable?

DreamWear silicone cushions are replaceable and should be replaced every six months or once they begin to show wear. You can also use your DreamWear frame system with other cushion styles from the line, including the DreamWear full face cushion and nasal pillow. 

How do I know which size to choose for the Philips Respironics DreamWear Under-the-Nose CPAP Mask?

Philips Respironics offers a DreamWear cushion sizing guide, but this fit pack takes the guesswork out of the process by including small, medium, and large cushions. A medium size frame is included with the fit pack but small and large frames are also available for this mask and can be purchased separately.

Which CPAP machines can I use with the Philips Respironics DreamWear Under-the-Nose CPAP Mask?

The vast majority of CPAP, BiPAP, and APAP machines use a standard 22-millimeter hose connection that works with all DreamWear masks. However, some travel CPAP machines — such as the ResMed AirMini — use a special connection that only works with specific CPAP masks.

    Very comfortable

    I thought that I would have claustrophobia wearing a mask. I didn’t. I do tend to sleep with my mouth open which causes problems since it doesn’t really work with my mouth open. So I use cloth surgical tape to keep my mouth closed. This is cheap and works well.

    Finally - I can use my CPAP!

    My first mask was a nose & mouth, and I could not get it fit successfully. The first time out with this one, I slept through the night with a "happy face" showing on the screen for the fit in the morning!

    No Hose Issues

    I really like the connection on top of head. I don't have to keep moving the hose around if I switch sleeping positions. I'm still having trouble get the nasal opening positioned quite right. It seems to be restricting my air flow a lot of times. The ResMed P10 continues to be my favorite mask.
