How It Works

SomniFix Mouth Strips gently adhere to your lips to encourage nose breathing throughout the night, which can help reduce snoring, improve sleep quality, and support overall health. By keeping the mouth closed, SomniFix helps maintain proper tongue position and prevents unintentional mouth breathing — a common cause of dry mouth, disrupted sleep, and decreased oxygen intake.

The medical-grade adhesive is soft and skin-friendly, and each strip includes a small vent that allows for emergency mouth breathing if needed. Ideal for use on its own or alongside a CPAP machine, SomniFix works with your body’s natural breathing patterns to promote deeper, more restorative sleep.

How to Use

  1. Start with clean, dry lips for the best seal.
  2. Gently close your lips — no need to force it.
  3. Center the strip so the breathing vent lines up with your lips.
  4. Press it on and smooth outward. It should feel snug, not tight.
  5. Sleep comfortably while nose breathing.
  6. When you wake up, gently peel off the strip and discard it.

Who It's for:

  • People who primarily breathe through their mouths while they sleep
  • Heavy and/or frequent snorers
  • Those with mild obstructive sleep apnea
  • Anyone who's received their doctor's approval to use mouth tape

Yes! SomniFix works well with most CPAP masks, and many people find it helps improve their mask seal and overall comfort with therapy.

Yes. The strip includes a small breathing vent as a safety backup, so you’ll still be able to breathe through your mouth if your nose feels congested — though most users adjust to nasal breathing within a few nights.

Definitely. The adhesive is medical-grade and hypoallergenic, designed to be gentle on skin while staying secure through the night.

Each strip is made for one-time use. Just toss it in the trash after you wake up to keep things clean and hygienic.

Some people feel a difference in sleep quality and mouth dryness after the very first night, while snoring reduction and other benefits often become more noticeable after a week or two of regular use.

The jury is still out as to whether mouth tape works. Some sleepers claim taping their mouth has helped decrease their snoring, but there is little scientific evidence to support that the mouth taping method is effective. Talk to your doctor before using mouth tape for the first time.

Mouth tape forms a seal over your mouth with a gentle adhesive, holding the tongue in a fixed position and encouraging you to breathe through your nose while you sleep. This is thought to reduce snoring for people who primarily breathe through their mouth. Keeping the mouth closed can also prevent dry mouth and increase oxygen intake.

Yes, mouth tape can reduce or prevent snoring for sleepers who breathe through their mouth. While taping can be an effective anti-snoring technique for people with mild obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), it is not considered a treatment for OSA.

Mouth tape is a thin adhesive strip. To apply the tape, close both lips and place the strip over the opening of your mouth. The adhesive is gentle, so you can force your mouth open if needed, but strong enough to hold your lips together while you sleep.

Mouth tape encourages sleepers to breathe through their nose, which can reduce snoring for people who breathe through their mouths while they sleep and improve their overall sleep quality. Mouth tape may also prevent common issues for mouth breathers like dry mouth and bad breath. That said, there is little scientific evidence to support that mouth tape is effective.
